INTRODUCTION

Health, Safety and Welfare is of paramount concern to Northern Platforms & Stagings Ltd (NPS) and always classed as a priority. NPS aims to eliminate all work related accidents and to achieve the highest standards of Health & Safety performance by the promotion of an ongoing commitment from all employees to the compliance of all matters relating to Health & Safety. Northern Platforms have identified all relevant statutory obligations, placed H & S responsibilities, formed Company Policy and devised implementation strategies.

COMPANY SAFETY POLICIES

The Company has established clear and concise safety policies, providing information and guidance to ensure safe working practices for all activity and operations. All employees have a duty to comply with the company safety policies and co-operate with their implementation.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY MANUAL

The nature of Site Activities requires that confidence is inspired in our employees, the client and other contractors in our ability to complete all work safely. Adherence to, and application of good H&S working practices and procedures ensures this confidence. To this end the Company H, S, E & Q Manual was produced.

FURTHERMORE:

Northern Platforms is in regular contact with an external safety advisor who passes on any new Health & Safety legislation. The company is well informed and its policies and systems reflect relevant and current law. Policy review and change control, internal audits and safety audits take place on a regular basis. Employee Safety Reps attend the monthly safety meeting and act as a two way communication system between employees and Management.
